Occupational contact dermatitis to acrylates in a manicurist.

Cet article rapporte le cas d’une manucure qui a développé une réaction allergique cutanée aux acrylates, manifestée par des lésions bulleuses sur les index et de l’eczéma sur les mains et les oreilles. Les tests cutanés (patch test) ont montré des réactions positives au 2-hydroxyéthylméthacrylate, 2-hydroxypropyl méthacrylate, éthylèneglycol diméthacrylate, triéthylèneglycol diméthacrylate, 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate, 2-hydroxyéthyl acrylate and triéthylèneglycol diacrylate. A cause de ses problèmes cutanés, elle a dû renoncer à son emploi. N’étant pas correctement informée d’une possible réorientation professionnelle elle a commencé à travailler comme assistante dentaire. Peu après une réexposition aux acrylates présents dans les matériels dentaires, elle a vu réapparaitre des symptômes cutanés.
